Apple Takes Biggest Hit as Global PC Shipments Fall by 29 Percent in Q1 2023

In the report distributed Sunday, the Worldwide Information Company (IDC) said worldwide PC shipments numbered 56.9 million in the primary quarter of this current year, down from 80.2 million in a similar period last year.

The shipments broadened a comparative year-on-year decline of 28.1 percent in the last quarter of 2022.

Of the best five PC organizations broke down in the report, Apple's Q1 shipments saw the biggest drop of 40.5 percent from a similar period in 2022, with Dell Advancements coming in second with a drop of 31%.

Lenovo Gathering, Asustek PC, and HP likewise confronted decreases in shipments, the IDC said.

In February, Macintosh announced that business of its Macintosh PCs, which had blast during the flood of telecommuting during the pandemic, declined 29% YoY to $7.7 billion (generally Rs. 63,083 crore) in their latest quarter.
